Al-Hodaida Thursday 8 March 2018 YWBOD Implements the 4th Awareness Session on the UNSCR 2250 Funded by UNFPA and in partnership with For All Foundation and Yemen Peace School, Youth without Borders Organization for Development (YWBOD) implements the 4th awareness session on the United Nations Security council Resolution No 2250 related to Youth, security and peace with support of the United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA).
Activity Results
This awareness session aimed at introducing the UNSCR 2250 and raising the awareness on its pillars, discussing how each pillar can be implemented on the ground at the local and national levels. It targeted 30 male and female participants of different community classes such as representatives of the local authority, NGOs, youth initiatives and young activists who actively participated in all the activities of the session in which a video on the UNSCR 2250 displayed and brochures distributed. This session is just one of a series of awareness raising sessions to be as a part of a project titled "Localizing the UNSCR 2250 in Yemen" which also includes a number of activities to be implemented in different governorates. Youth without Borders is a civil organization established in 2013. It works to empower youth to play active roles economically, politically and socially. It also works on peacebuilding and youths participation in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
