In the past year, youth participation in development and peacebuilding was not merely a theoretical objective for Youth Without Borders Organization; rather, it became a comprehensive pathway of action built step by step. 📌
The organization focused on redefining the role of youth, positioning them as partners in action and influence rather than simply beneficiaries of programs.
This approach was reflected through the implementation of Strategic Objective (1.1) via a system of interconnected interventions, which generated a set of sub-objectives working collectively to:
🔹 Produce knowledge that supports issues related to youth participation,
🔹 Empower youth and build their capacities for effective engagement,
🔹 Strengthen the role of civil society as a partner in engaging youth,
🔹 Raise awareness and advocate for youth-related issues,
🔹 Institutionalize mechanisms to ensure the sustainability of youth participation.
This integrated pathway resulted in a tangible overall impact, highlighted by bringing attention to 10 new thematic issues affecting youth participation through the research and studies conducted. In addition, 20% of the knowledge products produced within this pathway received voluntary references or citations from local and international research or official entities.
As a result, youth participation gradually evolved from scattered initiatives into a more organized, influential, and sustainable engagement that contributes to strengthening development and peacebuilding at the local level. ✔📌
